Every movie that launches a star son creates little extra hype. Zayed Khan is the son of Sanjay Khan and the industry was praising him since long. But the release of Sangeeth Sivan’s Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne finally reveals the facts to all. Not just Zayed but the movie in all is not as great as it was expected to be.
Chura Liyaa’s story-line is at least gripping, if not the movie, and it is inspired by 1963 Hollywood movie Charade. It opens with usual Hindi movie stuff where Vijay (Zayed Khan) and Tina (Esha Deol) are busy romancing in beautiful locales of Goa. After few scenes and a song, Esha is summoned to Bangkok to meet her uncle. On reaching there, she is informed by the police that her uncle Tony is died in an accident. This comes as a shock to the girl. And further, she is taken aback when the Indian embassy calls her for something. There she is informed by an officer, Deepak Chopra (Salil Ankola), that her uncle has not died due to an accident, but he is killed by his fellow gang members.
Tony was a member of a gang which comprises of Om (Gulshan Grover), Sheena (Rakhi Sawant) and Chingaar (Vijay Raaz). Together, these four had looted gold worth Rs. 10 crore and Tony was wanted by law in India. Besides these known members, the gang is believed to have one more member who is unknown, unidentified. Here in Bangkok, Esha is now in the eyes of the three gangsters who believe that she knows where her uncle had kept the money. But Esha is absolutely novice about this and she is now left with just one man who could be trusted. And that’s Vijay, naturally. He has already followed her to the foreign land and Tina believes that he will help her out.
But Tina is shocked once again when Vijay declares that he is Prakash Yogi, the brother of mystery member of the gang. The sky falls right on Tina’s head and she is left with no shoulder to put her head and weep. Her trauma reaches its peak when Sheena and Chingaar are killed. How Tina finally manages to save herself from troubles and what happens to Vijay a.k.a. Prakash form rest of the story.
