This one is another typical Bollywood masala film with romance, music and comedy but unfortunately no stars to boast of, unless you regard Rajpal Yadav as a star! On the flip side, with his increasing popularity as an actor, it is no understatement to say that the film rests entirely on his puny shoulders.
'Dil Bechara Pyaar Ka Maara' is about three guys - Sanjay (Aslam Khan), a businessman, Vinod (Aman Sondhi), a cricketer, and Deepak (Vikas Kalantri), a singer. There has to be a love angle in the film so there are girls as this is not a film about gays or alternative sexuality. So there are three nondescript girls, Neela (Mallika Kapur), Shree (Jonita Doda) and Sherry (Divya Palat), that the guys are in love with respectively. Of the trio, Divya is the more popular face courtesy her brief appearances in a few Bollywood flicks before. This would have been a happy boy meets girl kind of romance had it not been for mistaken identities of the guys.
Neela, a cricket crazy girl, falls in love with Sanjay mistaking him to be a cricketer, Shree, a music lover falls in love with Vinod mistaking him to be a singer, and Sherry, a business reporter, who dreams of marrying a businessman, falls in love with Deepak obviously mistaking him to be a businessman. Isn't this predictable and also too much of a coincidence? Now the guys have no choice but to try and change their profession in a bid to woo the girls.
