Daksh (Emraan Hashmi) is a drunk and a millionaire. Doesn't this remind you of the Amitabh-Smita Patil starrer 'Sharaabi'? Don't know how or why Daksh has taken to the bottle! Is it depression or is he just another spoilt kid?
He comes across Jia (Dia Mirza), one night and on an impulse smooches her. One smooch and his life is not the same any more. Pun intended because he soon finds himself at the cop station. The scene between Anupam Kher (John Uncle) and Emraan at the cop station is truly hilarious. Our spoilt rich boy is in love.
Next he spots his lady love shoplifting at a mall. He rescues her from an embarrassing situation. Now if you think she reciprocates his love then you are off the mark. It takes a lot more than that to woo the hard as nails Jia. After all, she is a strip tease dancer in a nightclub. This could have been used to advantage by the makers to play to the gallery but looks like the Bhatts were determined to make this one a clean family entertainer. In fact, this film reminds one of their old hit, 'Aashiqui'. Nadeem-Shravan's music adds to the feel. Unfortunately for the two lovebirds, Daksh is scheduled to marry a high society girl Anahita (Pooja Bharti, whom he hates with a passion) only to inherit her millions.
Now it is a choice between love and money. Unlike our typical Bollywood hero, Daksh decides to let money take precedence. He makes an offer to Jia to become his mistress. This makes the film slightly novel. Ultimately love triumphs over money.
