Anyone who keeps an eye on Bollywood happenings should know that Babbar Films P. Ltd.'s Kash... Aap Hamare Hote marks the debut of actor turned politician Raj Babbar's daughter Juhi Babbar. But is that a good enough reason to go watch the movie? Well, let's find out...

Kash... Aap Hamare Hote is the story of a young girl Amrita (Juhi Babbar) who loses her parents at a very tender age. At this point, her father's best friend Yashwant Raj Mankotia (Om Puri) comes as a savior. Yashwant not only gives Amrita shelter in his house but he also raises her like his own daughter. When Amrita grows older and reaches a marriageable age, Yashwant brings her the best marriage proposal he could - his own son, a Canada based businessman, Randeep Raj Mankotia (Sharad Kapoor). Amrita, a girl raised with traditional values, agrees to marry Randeep without much ado. After having married Randeep, Amrita leaves her doting foster father with a heavy heart and moves to a distant land to start a new life with her husband Randeep.

Once she reaches Canada, Amrita finds herself facing the realities of the real world. Her husband Randeep turns out to be totally different person than she had thought of. Not only Randeep has a girlfriend (Saadhika) but he also makes Amrita's life a living hell. Unable to cope with the situation Amrita escapes from Randeep's clutches.

Lost and homeless in an alien world Amrita find herself landing at the doorsteps of Jai (Sonu Nigam), an illegal Indian immigrant and a sawmill worker. This time it's Jai who gives a refuge to Amrita in his house. While being a perfect host to Amrita, Jai loses his heart to her and starts dreaming about spending his life with her.

One day, on the insistence of his friends, Jai puts together all his courage and tells Amrita that he loves her. At this point, Amrita has no choice but to tell the truth to Jai that she is already married. Jay is shattered and heartbroken but he overcomes his anguish to make Amrita's happiness his only goal in life, because for him love is all about selfless giving. His four friends also pitch in their own small way to bring a smile back on Amrita's face.

But what should Amrita do? Which way will she go? Trapped between an unpleasant past and an unsure future she finds herself on a crossroad.
