And the trend continues... With Balaji Films Ltd.'s Kucch To Hai hitting the marquee we come across yet another Bollywood film which is inspired by a Hollywood potboiler. Actually, in the case of KTH, the movie is a mish-mash of several Hollywood slashers - the main being 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'. Take a bunch of Hollywood teenager horror flicks and throw in some of the basic Bollywood stuff - and voila the result is Kucch To Hai.
The story revolves around a group of college students and close friends - Karan (Tusshar Kapoor), Tanya (Esha Deol) and Tashu (Natassha) who accidentally kill someone in Shimla. Frightened and scared, they all run away to different places.
Three years later, the friends are reunited at a wedding in Shimla. This is where the ghost from the past comes out to haunt the friends. One by one, each one of them is targeted. All evidences lead to one Professor Bakshi (Rishi Kapoor) who is rumored to have killed his own wife. But does he really have anything to do with the whole thing? Is it someone else, present at the time of the incident, besides these college friends, who's come back to avenge? Or is it someone who's killing in the pretext of that unfateful incident for some selfish motive? Who's behind all the killings and why?
The answer to these questions is what forms the crux of this movie.
