The title of the film suggests 'mission impossible' and the film more than justifies it! If the film is meant to be a thriller then it fails miserably, if it was trying to entertain then it falls flat. Either ways, it is a bad film where the audience is trying hard to find out what's happening on the screen! This is sad considering it is from the maker of films like 'Yudh', 'Tridev', 'Mohra', and 'Gupt'!
Here's another director who has lost his touch! There are far too many characters in the film, who are members of different gangs and come together on a common mission. This obviously gives the main leads, Captain Aadit Arya (Arjun Rampal) and pop singer Alisha (Priyanka Chopra) not much to do.
The film has strong influence of Hollywood films. Don't be disappointed to hear that this is yet another film revolving around Indo-Pak relations. Besides that there is the Kashmir issue, the ISI, the Americans, the Afghanistanis... phew haven't you had enough! To make up for the drab subject and the non-existent story line, the director has roped in a set of models for sex appeal and exposure. But sorry, they fall flat!
The masses are not interested in looking at sleek, well-toned female bodies and definitely not semi-nude men floating around all the time. Like all of Rajiv Rai's films, it is stylized but unfortunately unlike his previous films it lacks content. Posing and strutting around nude is not synonymous with acting.
