Aap Ko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai

AKPBKDK, is loosely based on two English movies - the Ben Stiller flick Meet the Parents and Father of the Bride. Those who have seen the recently released "Kehtaa Hai Dil Baar Baar" might complain that AKPBKDH bears an uncanny resemblance to KHDBB which is more or less based on the same story line as AKPBKDH. This movie not only deals with a love story but also with a bond between a father and a daughter and director Anubhav Sinha has to be credited for treating the subject with sincerity. Screenplay by Shashank Dabral is the weakest point of the film. Vijay Arora's cinematography is absolutely amazing. Nikhil-Vinay's music is easy on ears. The tunes are catchy and most of the songs fit the situations they are thrown in. The film completely belongs to Om Puri and his performance can only be termed as wonderful. Priyanshu and Saakshi show a lot of promise and if proper roles are thrown in their laps they could be the stars of tomorrow. Farida Jalal shines and compliments Om Puri at every step.

On the whole, if you don't mind the fact that there's no top movie star in the film, AKPBKDH is watch able at least once.
