The theme of the movie is "Love is beautiful, until it happens to your only daughter!" Sam (Om Puri) is a typical father. He loves and adores his only daughter Pakhi (Sakshi Shivanand). Sam and Pakhi share a very close relationship and Sam feels that no one in this world can love Pakhi as much as he does. Enter Samar (Priyanshu Chatterjee) into their lives who captures Pakhi's heart, and becomes Sam's nightmare. Sam can't come to terms with Samar ever being more important than him in Pakhi's life. So he sets out to find something wrong about Samar and when it looks like he can not stop the two from getting married, he finds out that Samar was a cop who was thrown off the force. With this piece of information, he decides to break off all ties with him and calls the wedding off. How does Samar make Sam see light and whether Samar and Pakhi end up getting married or not make up the rest of the story.
