You can run but you would certainly want to hide from producer, co-director and writer Vasant Chheda's Danger. Though he has given us a reality biting movie Split wide open as a producer, his attempt of making a movie on his own has taken the viewers' toll. Dangerous, isn't it?

The 'Danger' story of this movie spins around three loosely conceived characters viz., Nainesh (Ashutosh Rana), an accountant of a supposedly underworld Bhai (Shishir Sharma), Unnati (Tara Deshpande), Nainesh's non-sizzling keep and Saurabh (or is it Saurav?) (Jas Arora) who is apparently in love with Unnati with a criminal record to his credit.

Nainesh takes care of the accounts of Bhai and often rescues his life at stake for Bhai's bundles of notes. After a long reel of confusion it so happens that Nainesh rushes home with a suitcase carrying bloodstained currency notes worth Rs. 2 Crores. By this time, one is bound to be convinced that Nainesh's only occupation is running and laundering Bhai's cash. Meanwhile, the keep and her mushroomed beau plan to steal the money which Nainesh has got to safe keep. In this tale of deception the three try to checkmate each other followed by killing one after the another and then another. But who outlives finally, if that's what you want to see, risk your life at your own risk.

There are no songs but it has a jutting background score by Whosane. He properly adds to the gruesome effects of the movie on all. The actors in the movie exchange enough bad language to last a gentleman his lifetime. And it seems that Chheda, the writer has something pinching within himself and so he tries to create sad laughs of Baniya all the time. What's more, he even calls Gujaratis Gujar gandya... will somebody please explain him the right meaning of this wicked word?

What you get from the movie is very long scenes making the pace of the movie sluggish. Chheda has fallen short to weave the depiction of city life and street language. But what one also gets is to see some intimate and hot kissing between Tara and Jas.

Ashutosh Rana lives Nainesh to the hilt on screen. His role also has some shades of dark humor in it, which will make one go ha-ha. Needless to say that he is the only saving grace here.

Tara Deshpande (in a dubbed voice) awkwardly walks around in her designer sarees minus acting abilities. Better see sarees and forget the star i.e. Tara. Jas Arora, who is often shown either running or talking over the phone, is aptly misfit for his role. Jas must learn his job well before he starts doing it.

Technically, however, the film is not an absolute let down. There is some neat editing by Srikas Prasad which tries to rescue the film but in vain. Cinematographer Uday Devare has done a splendid job and he is a man to watch.

Vasant Chheda's Danger misses to offer enough thrills to the viewer. It leaves a lesson behind for Bollywood makers: If you want to make a Hollywood style movie, better get a powerful script ready first. A must miss of the season.
